Missing libraries during install
Install with sudo apt install ./file.deb so apt adds the required libraries.
Download the official .deb package for amd64 or ARM64, install it with apt, sign in and connect. Supports Ubuntu 22.04, Debian 12 and Linux Mint 21 or later.
The official MosVPN .deb package. Not sure which one you need? Run dpkg --print-architecture.
Open the download and setup guide that matches your device.
Download the official app, sign in, and approve the system VPN request.
Pick amd64 or ARM64.
sudo apt install ./mosvpn_amd64.deb
Sign in, approve the prompt and check your IP.
Verify the source network first, the MosVPN tunnel second, and the service you need last.
Install with sudo apt install ./file.deb so apt adds the required libraries.
Run dpkg --print-architecture: amd64 needs the amd64 package, arm64 the ARM64 one.
Check the connection without VPN, close another VPN and compare the public IP.
Open the item that matches the message or behavior on your device; avoid changing several settings at once.
Open a terminal and run dpkg --print-architecture. If it prints amd64, use the amd64 package, which fits most laptops and desktops. If it prints arm64, use the ARM64 package for machines with an ARM processor.
If you pick the wrong architecture, apt reports an incompatible package and installs nothing. Download the right file and run the command again. MosVPN currently ships as a .deb package for Debian-based distributions only.
Disconnect MosVPN, confirm the normal connection works, turn on automatic time sync and close any other VPN app. Then open MosVPN again, connect and compare your IP before and after.
If the problem continues, send support your distribution name and version, the architecture, the network type, the time of the error and a screenshot with personal data hidden. Never send a password or sign-in code.
Ubuntu 22.04 or later, Debian 12 or later, Linux Mint 21 or later and other .deb-based distributions with glibc 2.34 or newer and a desktop environment.
Run dpkg --print-architecture in a terminal. If it prints amd64, download the amd64 package; if it prints arm64, download the ARM64 one.
apt install ./file.deb installs the required libraries automatically. If you already used dpkg -i and it reported missing libraries, run sudo apt -f install.
Run sudo apt remove mosvpn in a terminal.
